“I joined maps as an intern because I was a volunteer my first quarter, and loved the work that I did. I wanted to get more involved with the program and learn how I can better help students in underrepresented communities. As someone who grew up in the area we’re working with, I understand first hand how not having the same opportunities as others can affect their learning. I want to spread any knowledge I have to other students and help them feel more prepared for their future.”
